So you just wave an arm, have someone dragged off, don't bother to find out what it does to someone being stuffed in a stone box for weeks, or months, or even years?

Stillwater Hold is a prison complex on an island off the southern coast of Piltover and Zaun.

Description[]

Stillwater Hold on map Season 1 Episode 4 001

Stillwater holds several criminals captured in Piltover and Zaun. The fort goes up to at least 40 floors,[2] and has cells for solitary confinement. The prisoners are also given tasks, such as cleaning the roof, around the prison and have time allotted for mandatory exercise.[1] Somehow, prisoners are able to get tattoos and piercings inside.[2]

History[]

At one point, the enforcer Marcus had a young Zaunite named Vi locked up in the prison.[3] As he had her placed there with no trial in lieu of killing her as Silco had expected,[4] there were no records of her crimes.[2]

Given the designation Prisoner #516,[2][1] Vi got into altercations on multiple instances and built up a reputation in the prison, both among other prisoners and the enforcers.[1] She typically engaged prisoners who were known associates of Silco for information on her sister.[2][1] After enough encounters, Vi managed to collect several weapons from those who attempted to use them against her, only getting caught after her cell was searched after another incident. On at least one occasion, shortly after her arrival, she tried to escape. Due to the nature of her stay there, Marcus bribed the warden to have her kept there, discreetly and relatively safe, despite at least one known request from the guards to have her transferred. For her behavior, Vi was often frequently kept in solitary,[1] particularly on the 40th floor.[2][1]

After several instances of violence, Vi was released around 6-7 years later by a newly-dismissed enforcer, Caitlyn Kiramman, with her friend Jayce's support, whose recent appointment as a Councilor granted him the authorization to do so.[2] Despite his bribery of the warden,[1] it would be days later before Marcus learned of Vi's release from another source.[4]
