Noxus is an expansionist empire to the north of Piltover and Zaun. It is bordered by Demacia to the west and Freljord to the northwest. Ionia, which it had once occupied, lays off its eastern coast.
History[]
Not much is known about Noxus in the series other than House Medarda hails from the nation, where Ambessa Medarda serves as a powerful warlord and spokeswoman. Ambessa's daughter, Mel Medarda, was originally born in Noxus. At a certain point, Mel was sent to Piltover due to various issues that stemmed from her not approving of the brute Noxian worldview her mother firmly believed in.

According to Ambessa, Noxus has some of the best wine due to its harsh climate and how the grapes are only made sweeter by the cold.[1]
